Let's get real for a second.
I am going to let you in a little secret,.
You will never, ever, ever be done.
If you can wrap your head around this, being an entrepreneur might just get a little bit easier.
The bigger question is, how do you be okay with that and what do you need to do in order to continue moving forward?
In this week’s episode of the podcast, I am sharing 5 tips on how you can attack you can reframe productivity and eliminate distractions.
By the end of this episode, you will better understand how to recognize your small wins as progress and use that as the vehicle to keep you moving in the right direction.
In addition, I give you a few tips on how to temporarily eliminate what’s holding you back, prioritize what’s important now, and outline your life pie.
There is no one magic pill to success.
Nor is there one system that works for all.
Uncovering parts of many ways to...
I have never really liked New Year's Eve.
Aside from the fact that I don't enjoy dressing up, overspending on a meal that is never really that tasty, and don't really love big crowds.
But the real reason is because I don't believe that you need a reason to set intentions just because you are being told that it's a "new year, new you."
Every month, week, and even day are great excuses to establish goals, set boundaries, and celebrate your accomplishments. Even the small ones.
As I start to look at what 2023 could look like, I have been thinking about what are some things that I could do differently so that I can scale my business and organize my life in a way that feels authentic to me.
Here are a few things that are part of my plan:
1 concentrate on building stronger relationships with organizations and institutions that resonate with my core values
2 build a bigger community of women who truly want to use their gifts and expertise to grow their impact and...
I am going to keep this brief - I promise!
Because, to be totally honest and transparent here, I am exhausted.
The fact that it's December 5th and I haven't put out one decoration or made a Hanukah list for my kids is saying something.
And it's telling me that I am tired.
I am ready for a break. A break from:
my computer
the constant dings and pings on my phone
the emails pitching me to buy a bunch of crap
the news
and the list can go on and on. But I won't bore you with that.
Instead, I am going to re-evaluate what's important. Take a look t my list from last year and prioritize what I want next year to look like.
One of the tools that I use to help me do that is the 360 Review. It's the perfect time of year to take the temperature of what you have accomplished ( or didn't), what you want your life to look like in the future, and where you are today.
My three tips today might help you lean into that.
Tip #1
Instead of looking back on last...
It's so easy to get caught up in all that noise, especially as a creative, solopreneur, and business builder.
And it's even easier when you are surrounded by a group of like-minded humans (a.k.a. one of my masterminds) who were all plotting and planning a strategy around their black Friday offerings. But after two weeks of marinating what this could look like, I realized that I have never ever bought anything on black Friday. I was struggling with offering something that simply did not align with the how and the who I want to collaborate.
Instead of following the leader, I made a decision to stay with my integrity and scrap the whole idea.
It's not just the offer itself. The hoops I would have needed to jump through in order to unhinge that idea would have amassed about 40 hours' worth of behind-the-scenes work.
And when I...
Do you ever take things for granted?
I certainly do and was reminded of this the other day when a fabulous human in my group, Tech Talk, could not figure out how to share her “Zoom” screen.
Over the past 2 plus years, I bet you have used Zoom over a dozen times. And if you haven’t, I commend you.
When I got off that coaching call, I started thinking about all of those I have worked with over the years and how the majority of them are challenged when it comes to computer stuff.
I can confidently sit here and tell you that that is not me. And not because I am an above-average tech-savant but more so because I am wildly (to a fault) curious. Nothing lights my butt on fire more than figuring something out. Google is my friend and so are those “live chat” options that live in the bottom right corner of most digital platforms and apps.
But that is just me.
And the biggest challenge I see is that most of us can’t figure...
Did you grow up believing that there was only one path to success?
I did.
I believed that you:
Went to college
Got a 9-5 job
Nabbed a partner
Got married
Start a family
Plan for the future
Balance career and family
Retire and live your best life
For most of us, not the case.
Generally, it doesn't always work as planned.
Most people I talk to are content. Most have gone down something sort of resembling that laundry list above and it’s “good enough.”
For me, life took a turn of events that I would never have seen coming. One after the other; tragedy, loss, and then a cancer diagnosis. I was so angry at the universe and was waiting for it to give me a break
It was this quote that gave me a little mini Ah-Ha moment; “Most millionaires have 7 streams of income.” ~ Tony Robbins.
I always thought being a Jackie of all trades was somewhat of a negative. As a multi-passionate, I...
If you have been hanging out with me for a while you probably know by now, that I am a certifiable, obsessed systems girl.
I have systems to:
run my business
keep my family nourished and fed
help others create the life they desire
prioritize and organize with a solid strategy
Let me ask you something. Do you feel distracted, pulled in a million directions, or frustrated? Only asking because I have been there. Until I developed really good systems as well as habits and rituals around those systems, I was saying YES to everyone around me. In realizing that by saying yes to them, I was in fact saying NO to myself. That was the ah-ha I needed so that I could stop whining and close the gap on who and where I wanted to be.
I didn’t completely say F-You to everyone around me. That would have served no one. Instead, I carved out time in my calendar for myself, like actual real-time and commitments. And no matter how sexy the offer was to cancel on...
Can you believe that we are officially at the halfway point in 2022?
And if you feel as though you may have lost your way between January and now, I get it.
Why I know this about you is because I talk to a lot of people and the one common denominator is time. Or the excuses of time.
"I am too busy"
"There are not enough hours in the day"
"Everyone demands my attention"
Blah, blah, blah.
But the truth is, you do have enough time, you are just not prioritizing it in a way that is allowing you to make the time. And I am here to help you not only realize it but offer you a few guidelines to help you create it.
Today's three tips might be just the thing you need to get back on track!
Tip #1
Create your action plan. Your action plan is what you want to do and accomplish by the end of the year. The key to getting there is thinking and planning big. You will see what is possible as you progress through your milestones and tasks.
